Online Ephemeris Generator
Web interface to the full precision of the legendary JPL Planetary ephemeris. You can generate your own ephemerides through your own web browser. If, for some strange reason, you need more than the Horizon system generates, you can download the major ephemeris databases to your own computer (not recommended for 99.9% of amateurs), or obtain the database files in CD/ROM.
U.S. Naval Observatory
Web interface for the computation of sun & moon positions, or sunset/sunrise, moonset/moonrise. Includes Web version of the Multi-year Interactive Computer Almanac (MICA), another online ephemeris calculator, this time using the US Naval Observatory databases.
U.S. Naval Observatory
Compute current local apparent sidereal time from your longitude. Also allows you to test your computer's clock against the Naval Observatory's master clock.
Space Telescope Institute
Web access to the first and second generation Palomar Sky Surveys. Select object, or input RA & DEC. Images retreived in GIF or FITS format. Includes option to overlay HST field of view on first generation survey images. Uses a CD/ROM jukebox, so sometimes requests fail if the jukebox is too busy.
From Akkana Peck
A Java applet that shows the position of the Galilean satellites and the red spot. You can select the time, and the applet draws the picture.
From Akkana Peck
