Steve Kufeld Astronomical Site (SKAS)
situates ~ 60 miles north of Los Angeles, provides the LAAS members exile from the city light. The site is equipped with two large reflecting telescopes: a 16 inch telescope (below) with equatorial mount and a 31 inch (Clyde-O-Scope, left) Newtonian on Alt-Alz mount.
The site also offers 57 concrete pads along with power outlet for setting up personal telescopes.
The site is open to members & guests only.
